Did you include government subsidies to large corporations and small businesses such as tax breaks for hiring minorities, bailout funds for CEO’s and subsidies for oil and gas companies in your findings?

The recession has undoubtedly caused a spike, but the long-term trend also seems undeniable. I wonder how much the overall growth has to do with our aging population.
